The Waterford News & Star/ John Mitchell's Golf Shop Fantasy Golf Challenge

Terms & Conditions

1. Each team is comprised of 6 golfers.
    

2. Chose one golfer from each of the six listed groups.
    

3. Competitors must use a different name for each team.
    

4. The groupings will remain the same for the duration of the competition.
    

5. A maximum of three entries per person.
    

6. Each entry must contain a full name, address and contact number.
    

7. Entries can also be made through the entry form in the paper or at 051-878787.
    

8. Usual Waterford News & Star rules apply and the editor’s decision is final.
    

9. Entrants must be over 18.
    

10. The Portugal holiday will be on specified dates in early 2008.

Scoring

• Points will be awarded based on players’ performances at European or USPGA men’s tour tournaments. Points will be awarded up to tenth place, 10 for a win, 9 for second, 8 for third etc.
   

• Players who tie for places will be credited with the points for that place.
   

• In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by drawing lots.
   

• The competition will begin on August 16th and will run to November 4th.
   

• The first competitions will be the Wyndham Championship and the Scandanavian Masters.
   

• Closing date for entries is August 16th at 12 noon.
   

• Points will be awarded weekly, based on competitions completed on the Sunday. Competitions count up to the Sunday. Carried over competitions (to Monday) are counted for the following week - along with the next competition.

Cost

• Entry forms are only valid with the €20 entry fee.

Prizes

• First prize is a fabulous trip for six to Parwue De Floresta in Portugal,including flights, accomodation, transfers and golf.
  
  (Must be taken on specified dates in early 2008. Dates very soon. This is non changeable.)
   

• There will also be a weekly prize provided by Mitchell’s Golf Shop for the top scorer each week. Don’t forget to keep up to date with the weekly scores with the Waterford News & Star Fantasy Golf Challenge Leaderboard which will be updated every Wednesday in the Waterford News & Star and also on website.
