Crafty Gunners secure back-to-back titles

PLAYING with assured confidence throughout and showing great craft, defending champions Ballygunner coasted to back to back U-21 titles at Fraher Field on Saturday last after a Conor Power goal in the 20th minute put his side into a lead that was never going to be wiped out.

Déise land second Forristal title in style
WATERFORD 2-08 KILKENNY 2-06
WHEN Waterford and Kilkenny went head to head in the Tony Forristal U-14 festival of hurling division one final back in 2005, it ended in a heartbreaking one-point defeat for the Déise but it was oh so different at Walsh Park on a sunny Sunday afternoon last.

TEN teams went into battle in the Tony Forristal division one competition for the right to try and claim the title that Cork won in 2010, including Waterford and there was a lot of talk about the chances of Cork, Limerick and Kilkenny as well as the Deise to lifting the famed Forristal title.
