Successful Fundraising Night

A V
ERY successful fundraising night was held at Micilin’s Bar, in aid of West Waterford Hospice. €1,000 was raised on the night. Thanks to sponsors Waterford Crystal, Dungarvan Cash & Carry, Micilin’s Bar, Davitt’s Bar, Jimmy Veale and William Keating.

Thanks also to WLR for advertising and everybody who entered into the spirit of things on the night, especially Joe, Jimmy, John, Colin, Fr. Richard and Johnnie; also Karen Dempsey and Sarah Fitzpatrick of West Waterford Hospice. To our judge Mrs. G. Lyons, USA and all who supported our raffle, go raibh maith agat.

ICA

Kilrossanty Guild of the ICA will hold their September meeting next Monday night in the Hall at 8 p.m. Hope to see members and intending members there.

MARRIAGE

Congratulations to Michael Baldwin, Kilnagrange, and Sonia O’Keeffe, Waterford, who were married last Saturday in Waterford and a reception was held in the Park Hotel, Dungarvan, afterwards.

Many years of wedded bliss to both of you on your future together.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

The St. Vincent de Paul Society collection will be taken up this weekend at all Masses. Your support to this worthy cause is much appreciated.

CANCER

The amount raised recently for the Cancer collection came to €343.

GIRL GUIDES

The Girl Guides and their leaders enjoyed their day in Oakwood recently. Brownies and Lady Birds will resume on 10th September in GAA Centre, Lemybrien at 6 p.m. Girl Guides will resume on Wednesday, 11 September. All newcomers are very welcome.

Thanks to all who painted inside and outside of Kilrossanty Hall recently.

LADIES

Well done to Kilrossanty Under- 14 ladies who won the county final last Saturday, by defeating Ballymacarbry.

Best wishes to the Waterford senior ladies who take on Monaghan in the All-Ireland semifinal this Saturday in Portlaoise.
